Become a Host Family for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are inviting local families across Southern Maryland to open their homes to players and become an integral part of the team’s family-friendly, community-driven experience in Waldorf, Maryland.

Our Host Family Program connects players with supportive local households for the duration of the season, creating meaningful relationships while strengthening the bond between the team and the community. Host families provide players with a comfortable “home away from home” as they pursue their professional baseball dreams.

As a host family, you’ll gain exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to professional baseball while playing a vital role in a player’s journey. Many host families describe the experience as rewarding, memorable, and truly one-of-a-kind.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking caring families, couples, or individuals who can provide:

• A private bedroom for the player

• A safe, welcoming, and supportive living environment

• A willingness to be part of the Blue Crabs family

Most players range in age from 18 to 26 and spend the majority of their time at the ballpark.

Players are responsible for providing their own food and transportation.

As a thank you for your support, Host Families will receive:

• Two (2) Season Tickets per Host Family

• Early access to stadium events

• Invitations to exclusive Host Family events throughout the season

• On-Field Recognition – Enjoy a moment in the spotlight with on-field and video board recognition during a designated home game
